My Lagan Love Marie's Wedding "Star Of The Country Down" is a classic example of this. It sounds excellent, and Morrison's voice gives it enhanced appeal/5().
  3. I loved Van Morrison's vocals (including his mimicing flute and bagpipe tones. Silly but beautiful) Its been a while since I've found an album that generates such a feeling of high-vibration freedom. This is a special gem. Also, I've listened to a dozen renditions of "She moved through the fair 5/5(8).
  4. Feb 13,  · Initially I didn't remember Irish Heartbeat from the album list, then I remembered that it was the album with the Chieftains, and now I've just remembered that I saw Van and the Chieftains at the Royal Albert Hall on that tour, and of course it was a great gig. Needless to say it's been a while since I listened to the album, but it's a good one.

  6. "She Moved Through the Fair" (or "She Moves Through the Fair") is a traditional Irish folk song, which exists in a number of versions and has been recorded many times. The narrator sees his lover move away from him through the fair, after telling him that since her family will approve, "it will not be long, love, till our wedding day".

Feb 20,  · Van Morrison & The Chieftains - Irish Heartbeat (Remastered) (/) FLAC (tracks) bit/96 kHz | Time - minutes | MB Studio Master, Official Digital Download | Artwork: Front Cover "Irish Heartbeat", a collaboration album with Van Morrison, was Van’s first attempt to reconcile his Celtic roots with his blues and soul music. It was also The Chieftains’ first.
  8. An amazing combination. Morrison, when he sings straight, is superb but he ruins the endings of some songs with crazy improvisations hard to know why Paddy Molony, who is known to be a perfectionist, allowed Van to get away with this. I`m thinking especially of She Moves Through the Fair. But My Lagan Love is magnificent and awesome.
